Change Patterns. Find Peace.
Counselling Intensives for queer, neurodivergent and anxious individuals
Located on Bowen Island, these three day intensives honour that healing requires us to slow down and listen deeply.
Maybe…
You are seeking trauma informed and queer affirming therapy.
You are neurodivergent or a parent of neurodivergent kiddos.
You are trying to figure out how to navigate life with chronic illness/ chronic pain.
You’re kind of an intense person and like to dive right in!
You’ve been trying to shift something for a while and feel stuck
You’re ready to face something difficult and weekly therapy just doesn’t feel like enough
It’s been tough to carve out the time to dedicate to your healing
Whatever your reason, an intensive can be a great way to make focused progress on one or two key goals.
Therapy intensives help you find your ground, breathe deeper, and make the path easier to walk.
Therapy intensives offer a rare opportunity to step away from the noise of everyday life and gently turn inward. In this uninterrupted space, you can reconnect with yourself, listen deeply, and access your inner wisdom that often gets drowned out in the rush of daily living.
On Bowen Island, your experience extends beyond the therapy room. Surrounded by forest and ocean, you’ll have time to process, reflect, and integrate—letting the natural landscape support your healing in a grounded, regulating way.
How it works
-
Consultation call— this first step is our chance to see if an intensive might be a good fit for you. In our 20 minute conversation, I’ll have some questions for you, and you might have some for me. We’ll spend the time exploring your hopes, concerns and if this is the right time in your healing journey for an intensive.
Pre-intensive workbook— this helps you to clarify what you want to work on and helps me to get a sense of our focus.
1 hour intake session via video chat— here I learn a bit more about you and your goals and we discuss any practical/ logistical details.
-
Our time is customized to your unique situation and needs, but may include

Intensives happen on Bowen Island, about a 10 minute walk from Snug Cove.
-
Intensives are $225/ hour and are 11 hours long. Total cost is $2475.
Food and accommodation are not included. Please make sure to take this cost into account.
-
It is up to you to arrange your own accommodation and food. There are many short- term rental options on Bowen Island. Bowen has a couple of grocery stores and a number of restaurants.
-
Sessions, unless otherwise arranged, are just for you. If you would like to bring a friend/ partner to stay with you on Bowen, I encourage you to consider what will feel most supportive to you during this deep work. For some folks, having a friend/ partner with them will create a sense of support and safety, while others may wish to have time alone to integrate and process.
-
I wish I could! However, as with any therapeutic process, each person is different and has their own unique healing pace and challenges that arise. Many people dfind with an intensive format that 9 hours of concentrated therapy is more effective than 9 hours of weekly therapy.
