THERAPY FOR ANXIETY & OVERTHINKING IN Vancouver & online in BC.
YOU’RE CONSTANTLY REPLAYING WHAT YOU DID OR DIDN’T SAY
It’s a familiar story, you come home from hanging out with friends or from work and you can’t stop thinking about that thing you said. You replay it over and over, thinking about it from every angle and perspective. You think the same thoughts again and again. Was that okay? Do people think I’m stupid? Maybe it’s fine. No I’m an idiot. Why did I say that? Should I text and apologize? Or does that make it a big deal, and it’s not a big deal… or is it?
It feels like if you could just figure out what to DO then you wouldn’t feel so bad. You end up jumping from one idea to the next, but nothing feels right. And that’s exactly it— it’s really hard to make good decisions when we’re in an anxiety loop. But how do I get out of the loop if I don’t know what to do?
Feel FAMILIAR?
Struggling with Overthinking every interaction
Ready to stop CONSTANTLY SECOND GUESSING YOURSELF
Wishing that YOU DIDN’T FEEL SO TENSE, STRESSES, RAGGED
Hoping you CAN FIND SOME MOMENTS OF CALM INSIDE
Here’s what we’ll do together
THERAPY for ANXIETY & OVERTHINKING CAN HELP THINGS FEEL MORE MANAGEABLE.
If you’ve thought the same thought 100 times, it’s possible what you need is not answers, but regulation.
If the above sounds familiar, it’s likely you’ve tried a lot of things to get out of these loops– silencing the critical voice, distracting yourself, asking for reassurance from others. Hopefully, some of these work some of the time.
If you’re still struggling, I can help you figure out what’s contributing to the looping. Often, it’s different parts of us all trying to be heard at once– sometimes this can feel akin to a gathering of kindergarteners all trying to get the teacher's attention.
Together we’ll slow things down and hear from all parts of you. This process isn’t about agreeing or disagreeing with any particular part. It’s simply the process of making space for each part to be heard that helps us untangle what’s going on inside, and gives us clarity about how to move forward.
YOU’RE READY TO SLOW DOWN AND LISTEN INSIDE.
THERAPY FOR ANXIETY & OVERTHINKING CAN HELP YOU:
Feel more comfortable in social situations
When you trust yourself more and become less likely to be yanked around by others feelings, social situations become easier. Hypervigelence and self consciousness ease up. You might even be able to put down the mask and enjoy connecting with people once in awhile.
01
Find ease in your body.
Anxiety can cause body sensations that become stressful in and of themselves (ie a racing heart, tight chest, nausea, muscle tension, insomnia). Therapy can help address these sensations so they are less overwhelming and you experience more ease and comfort in your body.
02
Reclaim your energy.
Anxiety and overthinking use up a lot of energy. Looping on what you should have, could have, would have done uses up a lot of energy. Being unable to make a decision uses up a lot of energy. Shifting these patterns frees up mental and emotional space.
03
Find your creativity.
Nothing like anxiety, overthinking and perfectionism to block up a creative flow. When we help these patterns shift, creative energy emerges and flows more freely.
04
More ease is possible.
I’M HERE WHEN YOU’RE READY.

COMMON QUESTIONS
-
No. We’ll work together to explore both internal and external factors that are contributing to your discomfort. I’ll put some options on the table, and you get to decide how you want to approach making changes to improve your life.

Effective therapy requires timing to be right, the modality to be a right fit for the challenges we’re working on, and finally the right fit between therapist and client. If therapy hasn’t been helpful yet, it’s likely one of those factors is off. We can discuss this in our consult call. I’ll ask you some questions so I can give you an honest reflection about how our work together might be able to help you, and I’ll work to give you the info you need to make a decision that feels right for you.

Fair enough. Who isn’t? It’s a vulnerable thing to reach out to someone you don’t know for help. It’s my hope that in the consult call I can answer your questions and help put you a bit more at ease. I’m really just another person with my own struggles who has learned some stuff about helping others. Have questions? Just ask!
